Now the bill is onto President Obama’s desk. We need to put pressure on him to ensure he does indeed veto the bill.
“The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Environmental Protection Agency have finalized a landmark rule clarifying longstanding Clean Water Act protections for many but not all streams, wetlands, and other waters critical to sportsmen and our hunting and fishing heritage as well as to the 117 million Americans who depend on them for drinking water. Many of these waters have been at increased risk of pollution and destruction for more than a decade and it has taken its toll. For the first time in over 40 years, the rate of wet-land loss is on the rise.” TRCP.org
So much of wildlife and wild lands depend on clean water. However, this is more than a sportsmen and property owner issue. This is important for everyone in our country. So much of the waters that are protected, are a source of drinking water. We must step up now to ensure we, as a human race, ensure our livelyhood, as well as generations to come.
